Wave Rider begins with a rapid descent from a waterfall, building momentum immediately. Players glide across water surfaces, avoiding hazards while maintaining balance and direction. Besides, pearls appear along the path, rewarding risky movement and enabling unlocks or revives. The fly mechanic helps clear smaller obstacles, adding an extra layer of control during tight moments.
Survival depends on more than dodging alone. Collisions or getting stuck gradually reduce HP, making each mistake more punishing over time. Wrenches hidden across the map restore durability, encouraging exploration during intense sections.
